Do’s & Don’ts- Patient Rights & Responsibilities

You have right to receive medical advice and treatment which fully meets the currently accepted standards of care and quality.
2.

You have right to information about what health care services are available, and what are the charges/ estimated cost of treatment.

3.

You have the right to receive a clear description of your medical condition, with diagnosis, prognosis and of the treatment proposed including common risks and appropriate alternatives.

4.

You have the right to make a complaint through channels provided for this purpose by the hospital, and to have any complaint dealt with promptly and fairly.

5.

You have the right to know the names of any medication to be prescribed, and it’s normal actions and possible side effects.

6.

You have the right to accept or refuse any medication, investigation or treatment, & to be informed of the likely consequences of doing so.

7.

You have right to a second medical opinion; you can consult any other doctor/consultant.

8.

You have the right to have your privacy, dignity and religious and cultural beliefs respected.

9.

You have the right to information relating to secrecy of your medical condition kept confidential.

10.

You have the right to choose whether or not to take part in medical research programs.

11.

You have the right to receive care irrespective of your religion/creed.

12.

You have the right to clarify doubts about the bill or the cost of treatment.

13.

You can ask for copies of your medical record with the permission of ‘Chief Administrator’ and also your medical record will be kept confidential.

Your Responsibility as Patient
1.
Give your health care providers as much information as you can about your present health, past illnesses, allergies and any other relevant details.
2.

Please respect that some other patient’s condition may be more serious than yours, accept that doctors may need to attend them first.

3.

Follow the prescribed and agreed treatment plan, and continuously comply with the instructions given.

4.

Ask questions, if you don’t understand what doctor or other member of the health care team tell about diagnosis or treatment.

5.

Please follow ‘No Smoking Policy’.

6.

Abide by the hospital Rules & Regulations

7.

Please provide information about your medical insurance, and bring your insurance card at the time of admission.

8.

Please inform the management of any shortcoming in your medical care in the hospital.

9.

Please treat the hospital staff and your fellow patient with respect.

10.

Pay our bill promptly on time.

11.

Keep any appointments that you make or inform the hospital or clinicians as early as possible if you are unable to do so, please provide complete and accurate information including full name, address & other information.

12.

Please do not take medication without the knowledge of your treating doctor.

Patient Instructions

Visiting Hours are
Morning:
7:00 am to 9:00 am | Evening: 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm | Night: 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Irrespective of visiting hours, all patient attendees are requested to carry visiting pass with them.
2.

To reduce the chance of infections & to ensure proper rest of all patients, we had restricted the visiting hours for the visitors who may come to see you.

3.

Two visitors are allowed at a time.

4.

No outside food is allowed for the patient. It will be served by the hospital canteen as regulated in accordance with the patient’s medical requirement.

5.

Smoking & use of other intoxicants are prohibited in the hospital premises.

6.

Avoid to bring children under 10 years of age in hospital to prevent them from infection.

7.

Flowers, fruits, gifts or any type of perishable items are not allowed in hospital.

8.

Responsibility of your belongings lies with you.

9.

Kindly speak softly, while talking on mobile phone.

10.

Ensure to collect all payment receipts, made at the reception counter.

11.

Patients are requested to handover all your valuables to your escort/relatives while undergoing a surgery.

Please do not offer any kind of gifts/cash to hospital staff.

14.

Any kind of Violence or damage to hospital assets is punishable under I.P.C.

15.

Request to co-operate for maintaining cleanliness in the hospital.

16.

Advance deposit for all expenses need to be made including surgery or packages.

17.

Accommodation in desired room category is subject to the availability of bed in that category. Room category once chosen will not be downgraded. In case of chosen category of room is not available, the patient will be offered other category of room for which applicable rent would be payable.

18.

If patient is shifted from the room to an intensive care unit (ICU) or Operation Theatre, attendants need to vacate the room and if room is required to be kept by the attendants it would be subject to availability of bed and on payment of room rent.

19.

Prior information (Within 24 hrs) of TPA, State Government, Bhamashah and CGHS is mandatory. After 24 hrs, it won’t be considered.

20.

Hospital will not accept any cheques at the time of Admission/Discharge.

21.

During Night hours (9:00 PM to 6:00 AM) two attendants are allowed to stay within the hospital.

All patients and their attainders/visitors are requested to co-operate with Security staff for better service & smooth functioning of the organization.
